This report provides "Written Notification" of three areas of the Bennett Long Term Care operation that require change or improvement. The first item relates to a necessary repair of the home's "Nurse Call System". Due to equipment failure, the pager system tied to the Call Stations in residents' rooms and common rooms was inoperable. This system has since been repaired and is now operating as designed. The second "finding" related a failure of the home to report this equipment failure to the Ministry within one business day, as required. Staff have since been educated in this regard. The third "finding" related to a failure on the part of the home to complete the labeling of resident laundry within 48 hours of being received.
